The news came in an email, followed by Chowhound - Racha Bassoul is to open BAZaAR Anise on May 17th! The new web site is up, and there’s a menu, too.
The food looks to be more casual than the first incarnation - beek, pork, veal, venison… and some delectable appetizers - grilled Lebanese sausages with pomegranate molasses and lamb samosas flavoured with seven spices, pine nuts and red pepper tapenade - among the selections. Good, earthy food, drawn from a range of influences.
As with the first Anise, the second will be one to watch!
